Magazine Design
Travelogue | Travel Magazine Design Problem: Travelogue is a travel magazine, issued quarterly. The name “Travelogue” is a generic word used to describe a travel documentary. My ultimate goal was to create a magazine to introduce some of the countries I have visited to other people and hope to allow my audience “to see the world at a glance”. Design Process: I applied my InDesign and Photography skills in creating a travel magazine with the pictures that I have taken during my trips in the past. Those pictures include beach scenes of Santa Cruz, ancient monuments in Greece, the Opera House in Paris, historical sites in Czech Republic and medieval architecture in the United Kingdom. Each page has text boxes describing the destinations and the surrounding scenery. The magazine layouts focus on high quality pictures of nature complemented by local structures like lighthouses, castles, and buildings. The background is white to not distract the reader’s attention away from the pictures. As the back cover, I created a wine bottle ad for Calera using Illustrator and used Vincent Van Gogh's painting as the background to create an enjoyable atmosphere.
